Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Additional cinnamon and sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Blend until creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Roll tablespoon-sized balls of dough in a cinnamon-sugar mixture and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. For a nutty flavor, try using brown butter.
